Cookies and storage

1. Essential local storage

Status: active when your browser permits it. Candle Survivor uses local storage to save best records, meta progression, portfolio purchases, unlocks, selected trader, and language preference. This data makes the game remember progress and settings on the same browser profile. It is not an account and is not a cloud save.

Local storage is a browser storage mechanism rather than necessarily a traditional cookie, but it is described here because it serves a similar persistence purpose. Blocking or clearing it may reset progress and preferences. If storage access fails, the game may continue for the current session without persistent records.

2. Analytics

Status: conditional. The site may use Google Analytics 4 only when the deployed build is configured with a GA4 measurement ID. Without that configuration, the game's analytics initialization does not run. When configured, GA4 may set or read analytics identifiers and receive usage events, gameplay summaries, device or browser details, and technical error information.

Analytics is intended to measure reliability and aggregate use. Google may process information through its analytics service according to its own policies. Browser controls, privacy extensions, and any consent interface presented by the site can affect analytics storage. 3. Advertising

Status: inactive. This release does not include advertising storage, advertising cookies, or a configured ad network. If advertising is introduced later, this page will be updated and any consent required before non-essential advertising technologies are used will be requested first.

Managing browser data

You can inspect, block, or clear site storage through your browser settings. Clearing Candle Survivor data removes locally saved records, progress, unlocks, and preferences. Private browsing modes may remove local data when the private session ends. Settings vary by browser and device, so consult the help material supplied with your browser for exact controls.
