Information stored in your browser

The game uses your browser's local storage to keep best records, including best score, longest survival, and most kills. It also stores meta progression such as Portfolio Seed Money, portfolio investments, trader and weapon unlocks, objectives, and the currently selected trader. Your language preference is stored locally as well.

This save data stays in the browser profile on the device where you play. Candle Survivor does not require an account, email address, or precise location to save progress. Clearing site data, using a private browsing mode, changing browsers or devices, or blocking storage can remove or prevent this local progress. When storage is unavailable, the game may continue with in-memory fallback data that does not persist after the session.

Analytics

Candle Survivor may use Google Analytics 4 when the deployed site is configured with a measurement ID. If no measurement ID is configured, the game does not initialize that analytics integration. When configured, analytics may receive gameplay events such as run starts, level-up choices, run outcomes, scores, survival time, kills, threat level, boss defeats, viewport size, touch support, and technical error information.

Google Analytics may process device, browser, network, and usage information according to Google's own terms and privacy practices. Analytics is used to understand technical reliability and how the game is played, not to create a Candle Survivor account. Local development hosts do not send these configured gameplay events through the game's analytics integration.

Advertising

There is currently no advertising integration in this release of Candle Survivor. If advertising is added later, this notice and the Cookies page will be updated, and any consent process required for advertising storage or personalized advertising will be presented before those technologies are activated.

Sharing and retention

Local game progress is controlled through your browser and remains until you clear it or the browser removes it. If GA4 is configured, analytics data is handled by the configured analytics service and retained according to the operator's analytics settings and Google's applicable policies. Candle Survivor does not sell the local save stored in your browser.
