Beginner guide
How to play
Move first, let your weapons fire automatically, and keep improving a build that can survive the market until the five-minute closing bell.
Controls
On a keyboard, move with WASD or the arrow keys. On a supported touch device, drag the on-screen joystick to steer. You do not need an attack button: weapons fire automatically according to their cooldowns and patterns. Your main job is to choose a safe direction, maintain room around the trader, and guide enemies into the coverage of your current build.
Do not treat movement as a sprint toward every pickup. Market Data Shards and other magnetizable drops will come to you once they enter your pickup range. Circle the outside of a crowd, change direction before an escape lane closes, and pass close enough to collect without stepping into contact damage or a boss hazard.
The structure of a run
Each run lasts up to 300 seconds. The opening waves introduce candle monsters, then stronger waves and rising Threat increase the pressure. Market phases arrive during the session: Bull Market, Bear Market, Sideways Market, Volatility Spike, and Panic Sell each modify the pace in a different way. Read the phase banner and adapt your route; the same movement pattern will not feel equally safe in every phase.
Your objective
Stay alive for five minutes. A completed run ends with “Market closed,” while losing all HP liquidates the trader and sends you to the result screen early.
Weapons such as Split-Buy Drones, Moving Average, Volume Bomb, Liquidity Orb, Compound Wave, and Stop-Loss Line cover different shapes and timings. Starting equipment depends on the selected trader, and the rest of the build develops through card choices during the run.
Level-up cards
Collect Market Data Shards to gain experience. When the level meter fills, action pauses and the game asks you to “Pick one market edge.” A card can add or level a weapon, improve a passive stat, or later offer an overclock or weapon evolution. Existing weapons can reach level six, so a focused choice strengthens a reliable attack while a new weapon adds coverage for a direction or distance your build does not yet control.
Read every card before selecting. Damage and attack speed help attacks clear a lane; movement speed helps you use that lane; pickup range and XP gain accelerate future choices; HP and recovery protect a run from mistakes. A card is valuable when it solves the pressure visible on the chart, not simply because its number looks offensive.
Survival Dividends
Survival Dividend milestones occur at 90, 150, 220, and 285 seconds. Reaching one opens a reward choice. These are survival rewards with names such as Scalper Boost, Risk Premium, Quick Rebalance, Compound Yield, Diamond Hands, and Emergency Cash. They can improve attack speed, damage, movement, experience, health, or other parts of the current run.
A dividend also raises Threat, and some reward choices raise it more than others. Claim with the next wave in mind. Emergency recovery can rescue a weak position, while an offensive reward is better when your HP and movement already feel stable. The reward is immediate; the extra pressure is part of its price.
Circuit Breakers and other drops
A Circuit Breaker is a rare drop that deals heavy damage to on-screen enemies and briefly halts them. During its effect, spawns halt and enemies freeze. Use the opening to leave a surrounded position, collect nearby shards, or set up the next pass through your weapon patterns. It is a tactical reset, not permanent safety.
Other drops have distinct roles. A Health Candle restores HP. A Magnet Order greatly increases pickup range for a short time. A Shield Hedge blocks the next hit and can stack. A Bonus Dividend grants extra seed money that appears on the result screen. A boss Golden Chest offers an evolution card when its conditions are met, otherwise a premium upgrade card.
Bosses and danger zones
Boss arrivals layer special attacks over the normal crowd. Watch for liquidation zones, shockwaves, summoned minions, and marked danger zones instead of staring only at the boss. Preserve an exit route and let automatic weapons deal damage while you move. Defeating a boss produces an XP wave, giving a successful fight momentum for the remaining market session.
Reading the result screen
The result screen explains what the run achieved. Survived is the elapsed time; Kills counts defeated enemies; Score summarizes performance; Level shows build growth; and Dividends Claimed records reached milestones. You can also review Final Threat, Bosses Defeated, and Objectives Completed.
Best Score, Longest Survival, and Most Kills are stored locally in the browser. The result also awards Portfolio Seed Money, including any Bonus Dividend collected during the run. Return to the main menu to invest that seed money, change traders when available, or begin another run. If a result is weak, identify one failure—damage, route control, recovery, or an unsafe dividend choice—and change that part first.
